Frog Eyes / Hello Blue Roses ltd 7" split

Absolutely Kosher Records is proud to announce the release of a limited edition 7" split by Victoria, BC's Frog Eyes and Vancouver's Hello Blue Roses.
Frog Eyes have re-recorded two songs from their fourth proper album, Tears of the Valedictorian, released this past May (also on Absolutely Kosher). The two tracks, "Policy Merchant" and "Stockades," will not be confused with their album versions as the band has completely re-imagined them. While their keyboard player satisfies his other commitments, the recordings (along with recent and foreseeable tours) now add fellow Victorian Ryan Beattie (also of the front man of the bands Chet and Himalayan Bear) on guitar and back-up vocals.
Hello Blue Roses is the collaborative effort of Dan Bejar (more famously of Destroyer and New Pornographers) and singer Sydney Vermont. Their full length will be released on Locust early next year. The two tracks on the single are a cover of "Foam Hands," a song from Destroyer's forthcoming album (with Sydney singing rather than Dan) and a cover of Richard and Linda Thompson's "Wall of Death."
The 7" is packaged in a beautiful full color jacket – HBR artwork by Sydney Vermont - and released in a limited edition of 500 only available directly from Absolutely Kosher, also released digitally as an EP.
